  1. they got a fresh batch of studs comming up this year plus they signed that swedish guy . there gonna be stacked for years to come

  2. They just have to worry about younger players which, thankfully, is being handled by the GR Griffins. With so many players nearing retirement age on the team, they have to have some new great players. Thank God that Ken Holland and all the scouts are geniuses because otherwise, the Wings would have been dead a while ago

  3. Just keep doing what they're doing now.

  4. They just need to keep doing what they are doing. Mixing yound energetic talent with proven veterans. Keep having the best group of defensemen in the league. Datsyuk and zetterberg are really coming into their own... they were good before but they were an absolute terror out there during these playoffs... stick with those guys. Oh and lidstrom is just amazing.

  5. Stop choking in the second and third rounds. Remember this prediction for this time next year. Detroit will not win in 2008-09.

  6. Play PITT in the Finals every year!

  7. They just need to keep doing what they're doing and find those young 18-19 year old guys in Europe, sign them, and then a few year laster after those guys have developed and matured a little bit, bring them onto the team.

That's what they did with Datsyuk and Zetterburg...and they are now both nominated for the Selke award and one is the playoff MVP.  If they keep doing that, then they will be fine.

And the fact that older players who have played for them before in the past have such loyalty to the Wings that they will be more than willing to come back and play for them again helps them as well.
