  1. It depends on the American. The Queen Mother thought Nancy Reagan was " a nice little woman"(Hugo Vickers, Elizabeth:The Queen Mother). But Diana thought the Reagans, particularly Ronald, liked the publicity that the royals brought to their Washington trip, too much(Tina Brown,The Diana Chronicles).Diana really liked Grace Kelly, the American born princess of Monaco.

  2. Why would you care?

The Royal Family = One BIG waste of our taxes !!

  3. I am almost certain that the Royal Family would never say anything about the Americans that was not complimentary. What they actually think must remain anyone's guess.

What would you think, if the American or French president were to say, where anyone could hear him, ' Oh, Canada? (or whatever your country happens to be) Everybody knows, that country sucketh a big weenie!'? For good reason, it would be seen as a grave violation of protocol!

What would you think, if your own head of state or prime minister said that about another country? You would think him or her pretty irresponsible, wouldn't you?

To provide more examples: Suppose someone refused to bow or curtsey to the Queen, whilst visiting her in her own country. (I'm sorry to say that Mrs Reagan actually did that, it was reported at the time.) Or suppose I stepped on your flag (which would be the equivalent)? Surely, you would say that only a horribly un-taught person would behave in such a way!

One thing you must concede, whatever may be your opinion in other matters: our Queen is universally admired for her display of duty in all ways to her countrymen; and, in particular, for her discreet, delicate, and graceful manner in handling even the least-expected situations.

I am compelled to admit that - whilst some of the younger members of Her Majesty's family might be felt by some to have let us down, through some occasional but conspicuous lapse of duty, seeming or actual - none so far has done so, to the imponderable extent of insulting a foreign country; and it seems highly unlikely that any shall. They are, to the joy of no puritans, good-humoured and high-spirited; certainly, in no way malicious.

To act with such an excess of indiscretion would only give ammunition, perversely, to any of those misguided who wish to see British government become more like that of some former colonies, such as America's or Zimbabwe's; or that of Oliver Cromwell. All would be dismayed to see such, and HRM would hardly be amused with her errant off-spring.

After all, if we can't afford to have monarchs and their families behaving in whatever manner might cross their whimsical imaginations, neither can we afford to have un-restrained political heads of government. The prime minister can not defy Parliament, you know: we have the assurance, that, should he behave sufficiently unconstitutionally or outrageously, although she would never do it ordinarily, she ultimately has the right to sack him, by law and by custom. Of course, no PM would ever force that situation. Would you sacrifice that safe-guard?? They have sacrificed it, in some former colonies.

Incidentally, whenever any English-speaker around the world speaks of the Royal Family, it is altogether idle to ask which Royal Family he means. First two guesses don't count! And, I am sorry to have to tell you that the fame of America, around the world, is perhaps more wide-spread than you think. The Queen, of course, does not have the privilege of saying that; subjects receive all the rights, you know, whilst monarchs receive none! Well, at least, she is allowed to glare at her family, once in a while. Bad-mouth one of Mummy’s favourite allies, and you might just collect a glare, or two!

  4. Uh... do you expect members of the royal family to be on here to answer this???  Seems unlikely, at best, don't you think?

And how would anybody else KNOW what they think?

  5. Even if the Queen detested americans, diplomacy would not let it be revealed.I am sure the queen has far more important things to do than to sit around thinking of the nationalities around the world and whether or not she liked them.

Edit.....Assasin,go play in the fast lane, with your friends,if you have any.

  6. Going by some of the news footage that aired on CNN immediately after the Queen's last visit, she looked rather annoyed at President George W. Bush.  However, I'm sure she'd be very diplomatic in her answers.

  7. They do not say nor think anything about you. You are beneath their contempt.

  8. Some rich folks will be flung into the Consuming One, the fire of Allah. 104:4-6

  9. they haven't told me .....................!!!!  the queen doesn't pass comments on things like that

  10. I doubt that the queen forms a sweeping generalization of any nationals. It should be noted that she has formed what seems to be lasting friendships with some Americans

  11. I really couldn't say what they think about anything. I do not move in those cirlces.

  12. Which country's royal family are you asking about.  Actually, I doubt if any country's royal family ever gave any thought at all about Americans.

  13. She probably, along with loads of English people thinks the pres and the people running for pres are f*cking idiots and feels sorry for the citizens. I Wonder if she has realised our gov are idiots, because we have.

  14. She only likes the members of the illuminati

  15. I'll ask them when I go round to Buck Palace for tea and biccies on Sunday!

Seriously though, the Royal family are very diplomatic about other nationalities in the press. You'd have to speak to someone who knows them personally to get their honest opinion, and I doubt anyone like that would be on this site!

  16. Well im sure if our Queen was on here she would say, "One likes the Americans very much!!"
