Yes, on some weather sites (www.accuweather.com) you can access the regular radar, as well as IR and UV satellites. I am getting the feeling that the IR radar gives cloud cover with and without precipitation, or something like that. Just looking for some clarification. Thanks!

  1. Please clarify. Do you mean, what types of scientific information can be derived from UV and IR reflectances measured at the top of the atmosphere by Terra-Modis or AVHRR (advanced very high resolution radiometer) polar orbiting satellites? (A lot, actually) Or are you referring to more commercial applications?

  2. the index of the suns rays.  AKA, how bad will u get burnt today? lol, hope this helps!!![ i dont no the other 1] <3.

  3. I know infrared is used to identify water vapor content and clouds whether its day or night. Ultraviolet is used to identify locations of clear skies, ozone concentration, and more.
