What do the Wartime Comedy Shows "Hogan's Heroes",and M*A*S*H have in common other than based during a War?

  1. I don't know for sure, and I have not seen a lot of them since the 1970's (other than MASH), but many of the military themed TV shows, MASH was probably the last one of the bunch and pulled way out in front due to acting and writing, but the others were" Hogan's Heroes", "McHales Navy"," Gomer Pyle", "F-Troop" and a few others I can't remember, all may have had  some of the same writers, producers, directors at times; some of the same actors played bit parts or recurring roles. There were probably a lot of shows that had the same writers over the years besides the military shows.


  2. Both were directed by Gene Reynolds.

  3. William Christopher (Father Mulcahey, on M*A*S*H) guest-starred on Hogan's Heroes in the first season.
