What do the dentist do if u have a kid that needs teeth pulled?

my kid needs her teeth pulled tomorow and she is very nervous,what do dentist do to make the pain go away besides a shot?

Nitrous. It won't put her to sleep, but, she'll be very, very relaxed. Well, she could fall asleep, but, that's not it's purpose. She'll feel kind of euphoric and that may be followed by a strong topical anesthetic and then the injection (lydocaine, etc.). She'll probably be prescribed a pain reliever for after the procedure also.
