What do the different guinea pig sounds mean?

my guinea pig makes a couple of sounds and i don't know if them mean something or not. When i pet him behind the ear he makes a purring sound and then when i pet him on his back he makes little squeaks. do they mean anything?

  2. Guinea pigs make a various amount of sounds from purring to whistling, some that sound very much alike. I used this website to determine that sounds that my piggies make. It's probably one of the best because it is very specific. Have fun =D It makes you feel like you can talk to them.

    Random squeaking means they are relaxed and content.
