What do the disney annimaters use?

but its mainly drawing then putting their drawing into the computer so they can play around and change stuff about the character.

and they do use clay fro 3d images to see exactly how the character should look.

heck i'm sure they use many other materials as well to create a character.

Most of it is cel animation, but since their association with Pixar, they're using CGI more and more.  Toy Story was the first all CGI cartoon.
