Especially for Mike O: I can always look at Wikipedia what a hedge fund is, but the information there is quite abundant. All I need is a synopsis of the definition, like the one that you gave me, thank you!

  1. Here is a short video on what they are if you don't like reading lengthy articles - http://richard-wilson.blogspot.com/2007/...

    - Richard

    Richard Wilson

    Hedge Fund Group (HFG)

  2. Hedge funds are like other investment funds, except that they are not open to the general public. This means that they are not subject to the same regulation that applies to mutual funds, brokerage firms or investment advisers. In practice this means that they can invest in more complex and riskier investments than a public fund might.
