For example, a young person's railcard and photocard hold a 'railcard number' such as LK 2961.

Do the letters signify anything? Such as place or date of issue?

  1. they are just individual numbers for each card and whenyou buy a card your details like name and address are recorded.  In case you lose the card then it can be replaced at the cost of £5.


  2. No idea. Why not ask the ticket office when next buying a ticket?
