  1. its true they are grounding strips to earth the car on refueling so it does not get a static charge and ignight


  2. They ground the car out so it doesn't spark and light up the fuel they are necessary because of the high rate of fuel pumped into the car I believe it's 12 liters/second.

    "Cars are fuelled at a rate of more than 12 litres per second"

  3. The first person is right but it isn't 12 litres per second. It's 13. Sorry but i had to correct you.
