What do the numbers mean in throwing boxing and/or kickboxing strikes?

  1. each trainer will give punches a number, each trainer would use different numbers for certain punches so when they call them out their fighter would know what punches to throw ,and their opponent wouldn't. where as if they shouted the punch their opponent would know what hes going to do. that's all so to different fighters it would mean a different punch that's all it means


  2. depends on the trainer but im pretty sure that 1 is a jab 2 is a straight right hand and 3 is a L-hook


  3. depending on the trainer... the coach will label punches as numbers...

    like a right hook could be 3

    a left uppercut could be 4...

    straight jab could be 6

    a cross could be 8... u get it?
