Are their women expected to follow their lead? please give me a list of things they tend to want when they're with someone they expect to marry.

They expect complete control over you, your schedule, your attitudes, and your feelings.  You are expected to be completely subordinate to them at all times.  You are not allowed to have feelings or ideas of your own.  Think of the Italian man as absolute dictator and you as their willing servant and slave.
