What do the red white and yellow plugs do/mean??

I'm, buying a super nintendo and my TV only has a yellow and white plug(2 in front and 2 more in back)..... do I need the red one(what does it do?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!)

  1. Red is for audio Right side but since tv is giving mono output that is why they have given only one socket that is white so you can use it in mono mode and yellow is for video


  2. yea they are for the video and sound....just plug them into the back of your television...they have spots color coded so its easy to figure out! try it without the red if you don't have a spot for it you might not need it....

  3. Yellow is video

    Red/white is stereo audio. If your TV has only one audio port, you can only listen to mono. See if you can get an audio stereo-to-mono adaptor or simply just connect the right channel.
