What do the results of my AVG anti virus scan tell me?

I've had a new computer for 2 months and I just ran my first scan with the free AVG anti-virus program.

These are the results"

No infections

No spyware

166 warnings

It took over an hour to run that scan and they are suggesting that I do this every day???

Wouldn't once a week be enough? I don't download things from the internet, and I don't open unknown files in my e-mail, and I basically visit the same internet sites over and over agian, so is once a week scan OK?

  1. yeah its good once a week

  2. That you have your scanner set to scan for tracking cookie, which si what the 165 warninigs are. Basicly you are nothing to worry about, as cookies are not a threat, everyone has then, their normal. If you don;t want AVG to scan for them, just go into the scan settings and tell it not to scan for tracking cookies, that's what I did.
