what do the russian consulate mean/require when they ask for:

1)An original Tourist Voucher from a British (or Russian) travel agency stamped and signed by an authorised person.

2)A standard Tourist Confirmation (in Russian) of acceptance from the authorised Russian travel agency or a hotel, registered with the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The confirmation must contain the agency's reference number and registration number.

I am travelling from the uk and am a uk citizen with a hotel and flight booked for moscow.

Please help, thanks.

  1. It's pretty straight forward - either you booked your travel through an agency, which will provide you with their stamped and signed voucher, or you will need to contact your hotel and ask them to provide you with a confirmation letter for your stay, including a visit reference and registration number.

  2. To obtain VISA to Russia, you need provide 'invitation'. It could be arranged by travel agency, hotel, friends if you have them in Russia.
