Tybalt: Romeo, the love i bear can afford no better term than this: thou art a villain.

Romeo: ‘Tybalt, the reason I have to love thee doth much excuse the appertaining rage to such a greeting. Villain am I none: therefore farewell, I see thou knowest me not”

  1. Hi there.

Tybalt is severley hacked off at Romeo and wants to give him real abuse, but as he is a relative and friend, he curbs his tongue and keeps it mild - "thou art a villain". Much cleaner than what he REALLY wants to say!

Romeo is in no mood to be told off, especially by Tybalt (who he knows has a rash temper), so he answers back that he loves him too and so lets him off for his bad attitude. He is proud, though, so he adds a pointed comment that he is not a villain and says farewell, he is off, as tybalt is wrong and has no clue.

    Good luck, Steve.

  3. Tybalt - Romeo, my heart only says this: you are a villain

Romeo: Tybalt,  you are juliet's family so i will excuse the rage i feel. I am not a villian, so goodbye, i see that you do not know me much"

  4. tybalt: the way i feel about u is that you are a villain

romeo: i will ignore my anger because i have to love you (romeo says he has to love him because he is juliets cousin)  i am not a villain, so good bye. i see that you don't know me well
