I'm 18, and I've been getting really bad headaches recently, and I was referred to an opticians for an eye test. I was diagnosed with astigmatism in my right eye. I read that the lens on my right eye was 0.25 or something. I don't know what this means. The eye test concluded that my left eye was 6/5 and my right eye was 6/9, now I know what these mean in technical terms, but what do they mean with regards to the glasses I'll be wearing.

  1. That is the measurements of your visual acuity , which doesn't really say anything about the prescription you will be getting.

Those measurements don't determine what prescription you need.

About all we can guess at from that is that your prescription will be quite mild...likely a bit stronger in the right eye.

    EDIT*****

That is quite possible to have just 1 contact lens...but again...I have no clue what your prescription is. You don't have enough info to give to get any informed response about it.
