What do these quotes mean in general, and to you personally?

"Happiness is no laughing matter"

and

"whoever wants to be happy, let him be so: of tomorrow there is no knowing".

  1. I dunno but I think the first one makes me think that I have to fight for my own happiness.

    Second, of course we never know the future so learn to appreciate about what you have. Live every second of your life as if it is your last day on this earth.

    Are they related? I interpret them separately :)


  2. 1.  Just don't take happiness for granted-- personally- I guess I do this.  When I am in a great mood-- I think I will feel that way forever.

    2.  Along the same lines as 1st-- enjoy the good happy times- tomorrow might be a bad day.

  3. the first one: happiness is a very serious thing, a very serious emotion. you may want to laugh when you're happy, but you shouldnt laugh at happiness

    the second one: let people be happy now, because anything might happen tomorrow
