Alright, so, some of you may know that the Half-Blood Prince trailer is airing via satellite on July 29 [finally]! But I have no idea what any of the numbers mean. If someone could please explain this, then I'd be eternally grateful. Here's the info:

Galaxy 28, Transponder 19, C-Band Analog

Downlink Frequency: 4080V

Audio Configuration: 6.2/6.8

If you could help me and explain this, as I said, I'd be eternally grateful. Thanks sooo much to anyone out there who can help!

  1. here is a site with information but still do not know what it means http://www.lyngsat.com/galaxy28.html

  2. Galaxy 28 is the name of the satellite. That tells you where to point the dish.

T19, C-Band and 4080 MHz Vertical both mean the same thing. You need to use a vertical polarized LNB, and set the receiver tuning to T19 or 4080 depending on if your receiver uses channels or frequency to tune. If the reciever uses channels, it may ask for satellite name in order to format the receive setup.

The audio is on subcarriers (this is common for analog feeds), one channel on 6.2 MHZ and the other on 6.8 MHz (discrete stereo). this is the most common subcarrier pair, so your receiver probably defaults to this setting anyway.
