What do these two weird dreams mean?

Question

I dreamt that I was a thousand year old tree and different types of animals lived on me. For a while, I was completely happy. Then one day, I felt extremely depressed.

I was so stressed that I viciously ripped off all of my branches, while unintentionally killing all of the animals that made me their home. I slowly died, feeling guilty and lonely.

In my next dream, I was in the middle of a field (as a human), wearing a wedding dress. Suddenly, I felt arms being wrapped around me. Naturally, I jumped in surprise and turned to see it was a guy. He then dropped down on one of his knees and said, "Will you marry me?"

I did something unexpected, I ran from the man. He chased me around the field.

When I turned around, I discovered he had a sharp blade in his hand.

"Marry me or die, my love." He shouted with passion.

I chose to continue to run, my only action.

Suddenly, I woke up.

What do these two dreams mean?

The first one, I'd say you did something you aren't proud of and you were trying to punish yourself for it, it could be something as simple as cheating on a diet or pretending you weren't available to talk on the phone.  The second one I'm guessing is a fear of commitment.  What important things are coming up in your life that are worrying you.  Do you have a test you need to study for?  Are you getting ready to start a new job/promotion?  Are you starting a new diet that requires focus?  Things of this nature can be scary because you are afraid of committing to them because you are afraid of failing at them.  At least that is my take on it.

The first dream dream suggest you are going through some major changes.  You have been very happy but something has happened to you that has changed this.  You were allowing individual your help but moved to the point you felt they were using you.  The realization has depressed you but you have taken the needed actions and while that leaves you alone, you death indicates a rebirth to a more healthy life.  However, you do feel guilty about your actions.

In the next dream, you have moved on but are having problems beginning new relationship not want to revert back to the old way of letting people use you.  It seems you feel you must either commit fully or else be killed.  You need to find the middle ground so you may begin to renew your faith in other people.  At the present time you simply run away from any close relationship but this is not the path to happiness.

i'm not a pych. professional, but i have strange dreams all the time. Ussually your head just takes all the subconseus stuff from the day and wraps it all up together, so you might have seen animals in a tree, walked past a wedding dress shop and watched a horrer movie that day.

I'm not sure about the first dream just yet but I'm working on it.  Do you remember what type of tree you were or what you looked like.  Green or almost died?  Anyways I do know the second one.

FIRST DREAM

Animals

--What I think about the tree--

The large tree in your dream may be a pun on the family tree. The branches in particular, represent the relationship and connection between you and your family/relatives. The depression may be a metaphor to you once being happy and now depressed so you started ripping everyone out of your life. Perhaps you need to start letting go of someone in your family and let them go and explore the world for themselves.  But with you then seeing what you did and slowly dying maybe you are sad you have cut these people out of your life and want to bring them back but dont know how.

Happy

To dream that you are happy, may be a compensatory dream and is often a dream of the contrary. You may be trying to compensate for the sadness or stress in your waking life.

Stress

To dream that you are under stress, is a reflection of the stress that you are experiencing in your waking life that has been carried over into your dream state. Even in your sleep, you may be unable to relax. The dream may call attention to setbacks, obstacles, self-doubts, criticism that you are facing in some waking situation or relationship. You need to take some leisure time off.

Sad

To dream that you are sad, suggests that you need to learn from your disappointments and make yourself happy. Try not to dwell on the negative.
