    There's the Secretary of Defense:

    U.S. Army officer ranks:

    U.S. Army enlisted ranks:

  3. the presidents sits on the button that says fire at will. he controls it over all. from there there's all the ranks. the lowest is private, and from there on, anyone above you, u take orders from. there's coloneals and generals and star ranks, so like a 5 star outranks a 2 star, and so on with all of that.

  4. there are different ranks in the military the lowest is private, and any soldier with a higher rank than you you have to take orders from. the highest is the general. but to go to war only the president and congress can declare war and order the generals to have their troops go to war
