What do they do with props and clothes and stuff in movies when they finish shooting the movie?

I have always wondered what they do with all the clothes and furniture and stuff that they use in movies and shows and stuff when they finish whatever show they r working on lol?

in the old days much of it got thrown  away or put in storage.

these days the furniture gets used over and over in other movies.

some of the clothes will get used in other movies, given to the actors, sold on ebay, donated to charity, or recycled into new costumes.

some end up in museums or private collections.
