  1. WIC continues to give baby formula vouchers up to a year. At 4 or 6 months they add infant cereal and juice. You can choose rice or oatmeal. You get 2 boxes a month. At one year they add whole milk, cheese, regular cereal, juice, eggs. I think I'm forgetting a food but you get the point... Note to first poster: you get a life. WIC is not a handout for free loaders. they actually have a very high income level.

  2. Because, while formula is expensive, you can, presumably, find the money for ordinary meats and veggies and fruits. (And if you can't, you're on food stamps which will cover them.)

  3. 10 month olds can have regular baby food.

  4. In Oklahoma they give, formula, cereal(rice or oatmeal) and gerber juice. It varied from state to state though..

  5. I'm not 100% sure but at 10 months they may allow the common foods that a 10 months old eats (cereal, milk, fruits, veggies). I think it also depends on what program you have. I used to work at a grocery store and usually mothers would get all of the staples covered. 10 month olds need more than just formula at their age...

  6. Shannon is totally right and she deserve the best answer on this one . my daughter had to stay on special for mula until two years just because of her nutrition issues so you know what somebody is going trought so please dont judge .

anyway you get all that she stated . after twelve months they would get regular milk also. good luck

  7. no they also give juice and baby cereal

  8. They probably give rice cereal and juice as well. Both are unnecessary.

  9. At 10 months you will get baby juice, baby cereal, and formula. If you are breastfeeding, you will not get formula, unless you were approved for supplementing. But you will also get stuff for yourself including carrots, tuna, milk, cereal and juice. When your child turns 12 months, you will lose your WIC coupons (even if you do extended breastfeeding). But, your child will be able to get real cereal like oatmeal or cheerios, milk, beans or peanut butter, cheese, and the full plethora of what WIC offers most people.

  10. I'm quite sure the only other baby food product you can get on WIC besides formula is baby cereal.  they do not pay for any jar foods or snacks.  As the child ages if you keep them on WIC it will go back to the coupons you may have had when you were pregnant, for milk, cheese, fruits, juices, peanut butter, cereal etc.

    Hope that helps

  11. you get formula then at 4 months they will give you baby cereal and at 8 months they start give you juice.
