  1. I just answered almost the same question the other day on here, so I'm going to just paste my answer.

Before you start, they walk around the vehicle and tell you to turn on the blinkers, headlights, brakes, headlights, etc. This is to make sure you know where they are and to make sure they work...if they dont work, you cant use that car to test in

After they sit down, make sure they buckle up (tell them, or ask "are you buckled?) before you do anything else. Make sure you're buckled, too. I know a girl that lost points for not making sure the officer was buckled!

Adjust your mirrors. I always had them ready, I just touched them and made it obvious that I knew how.

Get out of the spot, drive the speed limit. Don't be afraid to repeat what they say. If they say "turn left at the stop"...repeat it "ok, left at the stop" that way it'll calm you down and you're less likely to goof up if you repeat it.

MAKE SURE TO MAKE COMPLETE STOPS! Rolling stops will get you.

I know when I tested I had to show how to make turns at an intersection, left and right, to show I knew whose turn was whose. Don't drive so close to the road that you are crossing parking spots, even if they are empty.

I know I had to reverse straight back for about a block to show I knew how.

Parallel parking won't fail you if you fail it...but passing it definitely helps with points :)

Don't delay and let people go ahead of you at stops, take your turn...but make sure you don't go before your turn.

Parking on a hill...make sure you turn your tires. Remember the emergency brake. If they say "pretend you're parking"...ask them "is there a hill?" ...and "is there a curve?" because if they dont have a hill for you to practice on, they may have you pretend.

    You'll be fine, just relax.

If you pass, they tell you and they fill out the form and give it to you. If you fail, ask them why and make sure to correct those things.

    Good luck :)
