What do they mean by "the dollar crashes"?

does it mean that if the economy goes the dollar will become worthless? because right now i'm saving up for a car to buy before i graduate so you know i don't want all my hard work to be for nothing...thanks

it just means if you were to exchange it in foreign currency it has a lesser value than it did before.
