What do they mean by this?

If you have made a person really mad at you, what does it mean when they tell you the phrase, "If you are ever going to respond?" Does this mean they want you to respond back to them, or they do not expect you to, or are they sort of daring you to respond? I did respond to my friend but have not heard anything from her the past 3 weeks almost.

  1. It means they expected a response from you.  Since you said they were mad they might have expected an explaination or apology.  even though you said you responded - it must not have been in a form they could understand as your response.

If you want to make it up with your friend - try again.

Say your sorry for the late response - give your side of whatever happened without blaming anyone  - then wait and see.

  2. It means that they did want you to say something. Usually when people use this sarcastic statement they are already mad.

  3. I think it might mean that they don't think you care enough to respond.  Maybe they feel you don't communicate or let your feelings be known.  If you make an attempt to continue to talk with them and work it out and they don't want to accept that, then I think the problem lies with them not you.

  4. It means,"I doubt you'll respond since you're being a witch about it,but if you do..."

  5. It sounds like sarcasim to me but prejudged.

What i mean is she/he was being sarcastic when saying this but had already made up her/his mind that it wasnt going to matter if you did or didnt respond because they really didnt or dont care what you were going to say.

And being you havent talked in 3 wks then I would say it didnt matter.
