  1. Why don't you demo the racquets? The best way to know is to try them out. A lot of pro shops offer Demo trys of their racquets. Also if you are good enough to generate your own power by taking full swings and can generate some spin you are ready for a 4.0 racquet. Just dont get something with less than 98 sq. in. head size.

  2. first off, i don't mean to offend you, but i hate it when people try to get $$$ sticks when they are just starting. from personal experience, that racquet is not for someone who has just started. it is the player who does the work not the racquet. you need to learn proper strokes before moving up to a player's stick.

as for your question, 4.0+ means that you are relatively advanced. it is the UTPSA  (or UPTSA) ranking for a plyer. lowest is 2.0, highest is 7.0, that being a touring pro. so 4.0 are those who can hit harder, serve well, and are genuinely consistent. these are the players who have been playing for awhile and know how to hit the ball. this translate to your average 2nd singles tennis player on a high skool team

as for the racket, being a players stick, there is signifigantly less power than your average stick. especially the pure storm series.

take my advice and get a more "tweener" racket, a stick that will help you develop your technique. technique is really bug as you will only see your game suffer jumping right to an advanced frame

  3. It means it's a racquet for very advanced players or those with experience in tournaments and rankings.  It is for the kind of player with expertise control in their shots, control in thinking and on-court decisions and someone who plays high-level tennis or professional tennis.

  4. It's a "players" racquet....smaller head, stiffer, etc. Usually people string them  tighter also for more control at the expense of more power, because the kind of people that use these racquets already know how to  generate  enough power anywayy and are looking for accuracy more.
