What do they mean when they say that the Kentucky Derby might be run on an off-track b/c of the weather?

  1. if they get much rain friday or saturday before the race the track might not dry out before the derby so it will not be rated as a fast track. it could be rated possibly good, sloppy, or even wet fast, I hope for a fast track anyway.


  2. Exactly. If the track conditions are wet or sloppy that is considered to be known as an off track.
