What do they use to flavor cola?

It's not any natural flavor I can recall, not cherry, not vanilla , not chocolate, not Carmel, What the heck do they use . Someone told me they use coal , anyone know?

simple  Cola syrup , also used to treat  stomach upset. as far as I know.

Actually, it's supposed to be caramel, but now it's artificial flavor.  cinnamon, vanilla, and an acidic flavorant are used now, as well, as other trace flavors depending on the brand.
