  1. Nothing much. Their cool people. LOL!!!

  2. Well you know, it still snows in the city. People get them because they handle better in the snow. If you havent driven a 4x4 in the snow, test drive your car compared to a 4x4 and you'll notice the difference. If you go into a ditch, try getting out with your little car. Then try your 4x4. Then you decide which vecihicle you want. Have you ever thought some people go upnorth where theres lots of snow. And when your up there, your out in the boonies. Try getting a  tow truck driver if your cell works up there. Yea you tell me if you want a 4x4 for up there. Most people dont have 2 seperate vecihicles, one for the city and one for the country.

  3. Who's any of us to say what others need??? IT's what they want, you drive what you want or can afford. It's just like people driving BMW, Jags ect they act like their sh*t dont stink but their the same as everyone else. You see me and see my big duramax and think he don't need that big truck but little do you know I own horses and use it for work. So don't go picking on people until you know their circumstances.

  4. Why should someone not have 4X4 just because you dont want them to. That is what they choose to drive. Four wheel drive isnt used unless needed. Such as on a snowy day, stuck in the mud....My truck is a yukon and its a 4x4...

  5. The majority of them don't need them or use half the features they have, like who needs four wheel drive in a city? I think that many people feel more secure driving them but then again maybe they are compensating for a shortage elsewhere, know what I mean :-)

  6. owning a 4x4 vehicle is pointless if you dont need to use the 4x4.

  7. I think they are DREAMY!

    LOL

    NOT.

<<<Just look at my pic to the left<<<

  8. The use of all privately owned vehicles has been abused by populations for the past twenty years!  When Ralph Nader brought to our attention the emense poluting problems of large cars, inefficent fuel use & 'compacts' being cheaply made by automakers outside Detroit Michigan, I bought the 1st of 4 subsequent  4 cylinder MG Midgets [1973-1980].  Then later, to 'optimize' & bring legitimacy to my driving, I started driving a 'short' 8  Lincoln Town Car  taxicab for 16 years.  In 1997 I stopped polluting as  a bicycle messenger courier & now we only use public transportation &  you wanna know how I feel about 'soccer moms' driving SUVs....well I jes kain't be too awful explicit in sharing any contempt!  Dey gotz sum rules round here bout dat!

  9. what rights do you want to give up.just because there are a few or more @ holes out in your tereitory don't mean i want to suffer for them.and if you scratch my s**+ t again you will know about it.

  10. I've heard of brand new drivers buying one because they think it makes them safer.  Of course this just makes them more dangerous for the rest of us!  Perhaps you should need a special license to buy / drive one, to prove you need it and to prove you know how to handle a car that is basically more like a small truck!

  11. I park my Wrangler better than the idiots with iced out Impalas or brand new Accords.

I think it means that I made a different choice, not that it makes me any better than anyone else.

Very few SUV's come with standard four-wheel-drive. The only two I can think of are the Hummer, Wrangler, and G550.

People buy SUV's for many reasons.  For some it's a status symbol, for others, it may be the only way to get all of their gear and their boat to the lake, or best way to get a daughter and all of her gear and a horse to a show, or a son and all of his gear to baseball, football, lacrosse game.

I bought mine because it features four-wheel-drive, because I can use it to get to places that I wouldn't be able to get to with two wheel drive and it's perfect for camping,....  There's room for my tools, tent, cooler, dog and girlfriend.

I can use old logging trails, old mining trails or even long abandonned railroad easements to get to a spot I like to hunt from, camp at or go fishing. I can easily park in "compact only" spots in urban environments, jump curbs and medians without worrying about my alignment when someone blew a red light, had a wreck and backed traffic up for over a mile.

Having been one of the few people that could show up for work after we had rare snow accumulation got me a raise. (One guy walked to work, I gave him a ride home.)

It's a matter of preference, knowing when to and not to use the vehicle's full capability, knowing how to park it, back it up, economics and it being useful to me in a range of applications you might never see. Just because I live in the city doesn't mean I shouldn't have a 4x4 or that I don't use or need it for the intended purposes.

Public transport in my city sucks, so I use it for trips to work, and for work. For taking my dog to the vet. For going to get lunch. For running to the convenience store late at night.

Yeah, I spend more on gas and tires, but less, annually, than I'd spend to keep a second car, (insurance, maintenance,) or renting when I was going someplace, (rental fee, surcharge to build a new stadium, insurance because I'm going to take it into the woods.)

It's my life, it's my car. It's my choice, it's my money and you don't get a vote in how I spend it.

  12. yep. what a buncha wankerz. all that extra fuel and less safety. just to keep up with the jones's.

  13. yeah you are absolutely right.  drive 4x4 vehicle only for status symbol is not right.  actually govt. should only allow to bye such type of vehicle to people who really need of its.

  14. Ya, You are right. I think all the city people shouldn`t have any automobile. You all have public transportation. Just use that. Happy. Mind your own business!

  15. I try not to judge too harshly, in case I'm ever in the same situation.

  16. Don't you have more important matters that concern you. If not, you're very lucky.
