  3. it probably depends on the cage...if its bars, they would probably get lazy or angry...but new caging systems synthesize their natural habitats with lots of room and lots to keep them busy. in this type of cage, they probably don't notice them very much...but they do grow up with people there so its probably normal for them anyway...

    Its a sad yet true fact that as all they have even know is the life you describe,  its just how it is.   For them its the norm.  

    Where as an animal that has lived say in the wild would see things in a totally different light and yet how to describe that is something that only a person of experience could do.  You would need to find a criminal who has spent a long period of time behind bars.  He would be best equipped to explain being locked in and having people stand  on the outside looking in.
