  1. well when a child does hand print painting and finger painting it opens their minds to the world of creativity. it allows them to see more than a hand or a dot from the finger. they can look at it and see somthing in the picture as a whole. they could also learn what colors make dif. colors. like red and blue make purple.experimenting with colors. have fun with makeing new ones too. besides who didnt like to play with paint when they were little.

  2. The first answer is great. They can also see that everyone is different - size, shape

  3. it is also a sensory activity. They are using one of the five senses (touch) which won't normally be use when painting with a brush. A lot of children have sensory issue because they are not use to the feel of wet, cold paint on their hands. It is also an activity that works on fine muscles. They are working on controling and gain strength in the smaller muscles like their fingers and hands.

  4. creativity, and I HAVE HEARD IT HELPS WITH THIER GROSS MOTOR SKILLS LSO. bUT IT IS MORE FOR MEMORIE THEN LEARNING.

  5. to know how many finger are on a hand and too really look at the shape of their fingers from there point of view.
