What do torpedo barbs prefer to eat?

Question

Mine are new to my tank and so far they won't eat bloodworm, sinking algae wafers, sinking catfish food or colour food.

Are they ill? What else can I try to feed them?

Barbs love to eat shrimp, not those gross-looking bloodworms.

hi i have 15 of the denison barbs (torpedo) their best food for them is bloodworm. this helps with their colour along the lateral line, mine also feed on sinking catfish pellets and tetra colour pro flakes.

As your fish are new they may of been fed already and they need time to settle in, once they are hungry i promise they will eat bloodworm without any hesitation. they dont eat algae wafers as they need meat in their diet but they may peck at them a little.
