  1. Happy and FUN

  2. It depends on the 'toy' and the age of the child.

A stuffed animal, for example, might act as a comforting reminder of human contact for a young baby.  He will hug it, sleep with it, etc.

However, give that same stuffed animal to a 4 year old, and suddenly, thier imagination comes alive.  It can become thier playmate.

So it is with many toys.  The older the child gets, the more choices he/she has, and the more complicated the toys become.  A computer is nothing more than a 'toy' for grown-ups.

  3. teaches them about different sounds and textures and colours and shapes plus they have fun

  4. well children learn through play. Certain toys help babies in their development of their fine motor skills. Through playing with toys, they learn to do things like:

    passing objects,

    handling 2 objects at once,

    textures,

    colours,

    numbers,

    sharing,

imagination (which is an important aspect of development)

    Hope this helps.

  5. Toys open kids' minds to an awesome imagination.

I still remember back in the day, me and my cousin would sit outback and we used to play with those power ranger/ninja turtles/transformers toys at my grammas, i was the red power ranger! WOOOO!! =]]

Ohhhhh maaann we had all of them in our collection. =]

  6. for tiny tots then things that move and make noise is best still think a rattle is great value.

Older kids well i used to have this stick and you can do like a million things with one stick, naturally balls are also good

  7. Well i learned in Child dev. that moving toys that talk arent good for children because it doesnt help their imagination. The best kind of toys would be like a play ktichen or dolls anything that can help children when it comes to creativy. EX: Coloring books are bad because the children color in the lines, but a blank piece of paper lets them color whatever they want and it makes them grow their imagination.

    Hope I Helped :)

  8. Toys help develop a childs imagination. So yes it does stimulate their brain but it does more than that. It can help them learn lessons on things like cause and effect (although a baby won't know what that means) like when they push the yellow button it makes a certaint sound but when the push the red it makes someting different.

The main thing is that toys are a way for babies to start the learning process. They inspire the imagination and teach them any number of things. Who knows they might become the next Dr Suess or even the next high powered architect for Donald Trump or his apprentice.

    Hope this helps

  9. for babes it comes down to appeal, texture, and sound  ..my nephew has a toy he loves the most it's a little device that plays a classical tune when a button is pressed he also likes a drum stick that dose the same thing with drum noises

  10. Cognitive Development-pop up games

    Sensory Development-sueezy toys/baby mats

    Explore the world safely-plastic scissors

Problem Solving and risk taking-shape sorters

    Encourage large skills-gross motor skills-balls
