What do u call 'cramps in upper abdomen and difficulty to breath when running'?

i have this problem that it is hard to breath when i run and i get intense cramps around my upper rib cage...

this happened for the first time yesterday.

what is it from?

how can i fix it?

what amd i doing wrong?

  1. It may be the stitch, although it is a little high.

    Usually the more fitter you are, the less the problem becomes.

    Do a few stretches before you start, like stretching your whole body up as high as you can. Some regular breathing. Keep you mouth open during running and just try to breath normally.

    When it happens try some deep breathes. But I also advise my athletes to run faster as this sometimes helps and gets it over quicker.

  3. It may be a stitch. As you get more used to running, they will stop. Usually it takes 2-4 days, depending on how fit you are. Remember to keep hydrated and stretches help too. Good luck!

  4. Side stitch.

    You can help fix it by holding the cramp and pushing with your abdominal muscles. It's usually from eating too much food before running, or you're not used to it. Keep running, they will go away.
