  1. Roll out grass is called sod or turf ~ there are many different types or species.  Marathon (brand) is probably the most common / widely utilized.

  2. They are typically called "sod" but they also go by "turf".

Usually they are sold in small square sections, rectangles, or rolled up. Home Depot and Lowes usually place them in stacks in the Garden Section of the store.

    Another option:

You can also buy packaged grass seeds & fertilizer and sprinkle that in your backyard. (Though that may take a bit longer.) This option also gives you more of a choice in what kinds of grass you plant.

    Hope that helps! Good luck!:)

  3. sod

  4. It's called sod.

Don't know if Home Depot or Lowes sells them, though ... I don't think they do.

Try a local landscaping company.  They will either have them, or can help you find somewhere that does.

  5. The sod squares you refer to are sold at Home Depot in (GA) in season for aprox $1.00 a square 18"x18".

Larger rolls are sold up north  aprox. 24" x36" for a lot more $.

Depends on your area and the type of grass required.  Any good garden shop should be able to give you a price and availability.
