  1. Look in the mirror and say, "'I love you, you are spectacular.  You did a great job today!"

  2. I look around, or think back on my accomplishments and congratulate myself.  It is a rare occasion that I get a pat on the back or a kind word, especially since my mother passed away.  Since she was my only living parent for so many years, I relied on her for that.  When she passed away, it took me a long time to learn how to reward myself for my good actions.   You need to maybe create a journal for right now, so that you can tell yourself how proud you are.

Every now and then, I treat myself to something I would not ordinarily do or have, just because I deserve it!

  3. Talk to God and let him give you the inspiration and the strength that you seek.  Sometimes we as people view the world with closed eyes and tend to take goodness for granted.  Don't let the ways of the world damper your spirits or make you feel any less than terrific.  Go to God in prayer.  He's never tired or too busy.

  4. I am a nanny and very often feel unappreciated.  Just today, the 2 year old little boy that I care for exclaimed, "Great Job, Heather!" It definitely put a smile on my face... you can;t always rely on the honesty of children, though.

I usually call my grandma and just talk to her. She helps me with a lot and just talking to her makes me feel good.

  5. You did an awsome job today, I'm proud of you in so many way. No one could have done it better. There is no one else better than you. Keep smiling somebody loves you.

See now every time you feel you need a pick me up just come read my answer and hopefully it will make you feel better. and if that dont work you could praise yourself up or yell at everyone and tell them to praise you. thats what I do.

  6. Play with my dog... A few minutes of rubbing his tummy works wonders...

  7. I try to look to myself.  I have a long list of uplifting phrases on my bedroom mirror.  I will read through them.  I know that no one cares as much about you than you do.  But, just in case you need one, Internet hug for you.

  8. drink.

  9. never ever in my life needed it. even when i was a kid. have always been relying only on myself

  10. I take a hot shower....I already know I cannot rely on anyone to cheer me up. Those days are long gone.

  11. Surprisingly, I find it best to just tell someone close to me how I feel. Sometimes people get so wrapped up in their own routines that they don't even notice when someone else needs some encouragement or tlc. A simple "hey, i could really use some cheering up. I've been feeling pretty down." should do the trick. That, and a good dose of prayer. Hope this helps! *hug*

  12. Give myself one. Self nurturance is a healthy habit to learn. We can't always depend on everyone else, we need to love ourselves independent of others first.

  13. I go eat another Cheeseburger and gain 3 more pounds while I continue to be a doormat at home and at work.
