What do u do with yahoo points?

In general, the points let you ask and answer more questions. The more points you have, the more questions you can ask & answer. Also, you can star more, comment more, and vote more. And once your past Level 1, you can start ranking http://answers.yahoo.com/info/scoring_sy...

You don't have to do anything with the points, you'll just automtatically be able to do more on the site.

Also, sometimes they'll have things you can sign up for to get things for free. Like, a little while back they had a whole "help the environment" thing going on, and if you were Level 2 or higher, you could sign up and they sent you a free tote bag and light bulb (and then the more points you got, the more light bulbs you got). And quite awhile back, they gave out prizes (I think for Y!Answers anniversary), and the prizes varied according to your level. I was Level 2 at the time, I think (maybe 3), so I got a car magnet, but higher levels got T-shirts, hats, mugs, etc. So points are also useful in that way.

And to change your avatar....

Go to "My Profile" and in the box under where your email, there's a link that says "Edit My Info"

Click on that.

Then it shows your picture, your options are "no picture" "360 picture" "avatar" (if you want to edit your avatar, there's a link  to that right underneath the avatar choice" Choose whichever one you want and click preview & then OK.

To change your pic on 360, go to http://360.yahoo.com then click on "My Page" then "Edit Personal Photos"  You can upload photos there, and choose which one is your primary photo.  Whichever is set as primary, will be the one that shows up on Y!Answers if you select to use the 360 photo.
