  1. pure awesomeness. i heard their new song and they still rock hardcore.

  2. i expect nothing from their new album. I know pretty much everything about metallica since the beginning, before the fame, but other than And Justice, Killem, Master, and garage days, and part of black, I have lost much of what respect i had for them. I listen to way more dream theater now. I still agree that the songs released for death magnetic is still 10000x better than st anger. that was an insult to all music and all mankind. I really dont know what to expect. I wish that james would at least try to make his vocals sound like his earleir vocals. The days of One and Saniterium.

  3. I don't expect them to deliver a decent record. I've recently heard some new tunes, let me tell you, they are nothing near what Metallica is capable of. James can't sing anymore, the solos are okay, but the riffs are just plain copy/paste. Sorry for you, but I do not expect anything good. Metallica have stopped writing and recording good music when they finished The Black Album, which is also c**p for the most part.

  4. I have no expectations for the new album.  I will buy it regardless of how good it is.  I can find the groove/crunch in all their albums...I'll find one for this too.

From the 3 songs that I have heard so far this one seems similar to AJFA.

    Check out "My Apocalypse" below...

  5. sirius satellite radio has been playing some of the new songs: "cyanide" , "the day that never comes" and "my apocolypse"

--"cyanide" has a cool bass riff and kinda catchy

--"day that never comes" starts off slow and conservative but then kicks into high gear like "one" --it ends with solo', heavy riffs, etc

    --"apocoypse" sucked

--from the songs i heard so far, they used more guitar solo's, more heavy riffs, etc but none of it held my attention very long--i'm already sick of the songs i heard and the cd hasnt even come out yet

--i just dont think there is any place in todays world for the metallica of the 80's (for that sound) or i just outgrew it

  6. I also love Metallica but they have gone soft. Just hear some of there recent music. Nothing like the old metal, like Enter Sandman, Ride the Lightening, Sad but true, and One.

  7. i badly want it to be good. i really really really want the album to be amazing. but  im not sure if it will be.

  8. Well first off, you started your blog off with good news....I too am a Metallica fan, but to me this is not good news, but more of the same. From what I have heard, the album should have been called, Failure To Deliver, Yet Again

  9. I'm not a huge Metalica fan, but I expect it to sound similar to their greatest hits ("Enter Sandman," "One"). They know everyone hated everything St. Anger, especially the bizarre, ear-damaging production style.

  10. actually you can listen to their two singles and figure out what exactly we should expect from those guys

it's kinda nice and kicking; we at least for now!
