What do u look for most when betting on horses?

always look at the jockey and trainer's winning percentage.

the trainer...get to know the pattern he/she follows when getting the horse ready for its best effort! including his/her favorite jocky! and best distance the horse likes to run...works fine by me!

Beyer speed figures, followed by class, connections, pedigree, recent workouts, and many other factors. You need all these factors in consideration when handicapping a race.

READ the horses last work outs

how long and far

then see if he has had time off

when last started

and if he has been moved up or down in class

if he has been claimed if a new trainer has him

money earned and breeding Jockeys that have ridden him and the distances he has run



its bit tough but you can get a clue,,, but not always  a winner ??!!

the tote board.the odds the tote board tells all i want to know. i don't read the racing form i don't look at a scratch sheet i wheel the odds on the tote board  for the gimmick bets and do just as good as any body on the track  and better than most try it and check out your prices. a tip from JOEY THE BRAIN from aqueduct in the 1980s.

I usually look if the horse had a bullet workout recently and see what kind of pedigree he has.

i look for the winner when im betting on horses!

i dont have a sysyem, i just do my homework, so i know when to bet on a given horse

I look at the horses before the race.  I rule out any horse that is acting up a lot because they're using all their energy before the race.  I look at the horse's body and see if they have muscle on their shoulder and hip areas.  I watch the horse's movement and see if they look sore when they walk... you wouldn't believe the number of lame horses that race and are still favorites at post time.  The system does work for me... most of the horses I select do finish in the money.  However, I know what to look for in a horse and most people don't, so it's not a system that everybody can use.
