What do u mean by RAC and how many seats are there as RAC in Indian railway?

RAC is written in my reservation tickit.

RAC stands for reservation against cancellation .There is no quota if reserved seat is cancelled by some passenger who does not wish to travel and your ticket says RAC/1 then your seat gets confirmed.

reservation against cancellation....if somebody cancells his/her tickets....then u will get that ticket....usually in RAC u get side berths....

it means reservation against cancellation... if anyone cancels his/herticket u will get a seat alloted to that person, but by default if uncleard u will get a side lower seat on sharing basis with another RAC holder till one of u having a lower RAC number gets a cleared seat.... usually it is depending on the number of coaches in the train of that class .... since it has to be side lower

it means... reservation against cancellation.  I am not too specific about the allocation of seats for RAC.  Try calling the railway department!!!!!!

Reservation Against Cancellation. Normally there will be 100 to 150 such seats in one train.
