Question:

What do u think about GOD?

So..i have this little analogy of god.

word. here it goes.

but before i start just think of a dinner table and its signifigance in a household. its a place where a family comes together to spend time with each other. so i thought it would be a cool object to use as a "stable ground" kkkkkk

i think of god as a dinner table. he is the stable set and what we place everything on. he gives us plates, knives, forks, spoons, bowls, cups and napkins etcc..Now each of these utensils has a significant purpose. and they all can be used or not. now that hes given us the things to use, WE have the option of what food goes in bowl and on the plates. for ex. soup, salads, entrees..etc.. NOW we also need to have the "common sense" in what utensil we use. soup, spoon salad, fork, entrees usually a fork and knife. but the point is. he gives us the knowldge we need to live a decent and successful life. it is up to us how we use these utenils and what food goes in the plate. We also have a choice of what drink goes in our cups. Now god isnt stupid. definately not, he knws we will have our share of spills so he gives us a napkin to clean up our messes. The napkin represents our life. In our life we will make unaccountable mistakes and its understood that it happens. Because of our life in sin, he gives us the opportunity to clean it up.

i bet everyones heard of the saying "god gives you different paths..lalala"

ok well the point here is god does knowling give u diff. choices hoping u make the right one.

hence, the napkin cleans up messes. but what people dont understand is the value of the napkin. U dont knw how many times ur gonna have to clean up a spill and u only get ONE napkin, so be wise and use portions and remember part of the napkin is still dry.

dont be close-minded.

REASONNN. its common sense that you would use a spoon for soup right? so im basically saying this is like trying to decide what is right and wrong with faith.

Instead you should use a spoon, this would be like using reason. we have to learn how to use everything properly.

anddd i do believe i think with my heart and not my mind. but fact is... life wont get u anywhere with just ur heart..hence the making of the mind.

read the bible it tells u about the body and why each part of the body was made.

hands for the arms, feet for the legs. etc..

mind for the heart.

mind over heart.

its ur own thoughts. and what knowldge u choose to obtain with it is knowledge from god. reason being, god created ur mind. hes knows its worth

k im over it bye haha

    Now answer mine:

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

  4. who is GOD

  5. I am not religious at all but I really enjoyed reading your analogy of god it made sense.

  6. well, I think that is an EXCELLENT analogy!!!!

I particuclarly liked the part about the napkins!    I think that is exactly RIGHT.   I think life is about trying not to ruin your one and only napkin.

but the good thing is........even if you ruin yours.......that's what other people are for..........maybe you can borrow theirs......and learn from their better ways.  Learn to enjoy the feast, without making too many messes.

and Life indeed is a feast.........

some people make pigs of themselves and embarass themselves at the party..........and others are excellent hosts, and like to make sure others are having a good time.

and still some............just come, behave and merely enjoy the feast, which is fine too.

and God is a Good host.   Even if you spill your wine and ruin the tablecloth and soak your napkin...........

He still invites you back......and always has a spare napkin for you.

But if you break his crystal wine glasses.......He gets a little sore, as anyone would.

But you always have the power to right your mistakes.!

    I loved your analogy!

  7. wel to be honest, i believe there is no god

    don't hate me for it

    i just don't believe :P

  8. Everything that god is thanked for giving us is given by real people, the table and everything on it. Thanking god instead of the real people is not really being thankful.

  9. Your question and your narration comparing the dining table is really fascinating to me. You have great imagination power. Keep it up and expand for the betterment of self and others.

I am too small to evaluate God by my little thinking power. At the same time I am not totally ignorant. I have been reading lot of books to know about God. What I have compiled seems to be good.

God is the entire glory. HE is the entire virtue. HE is the entire renown. He is the entire prosperity. HE is the entire wisdom and HE is the total dispassion. These are coolectively known as the qualities of God. One who combines in himself all these virtues is called GOD.

According to some other narration: He, who is aware of creation and dissolution of the universe, of the appearance and disappearance of beings, as well as of wisdom and nescience should be designated as God.

At any time (past, present, future and beyond); in any place (within and without); in any activity without any condition, restriction or limitation, ONE who knows, who is aware and who is conscious and blissful. With absolute peace, with absolute power. This is God.

God is dissociated from ignorance, egoism, attachment, repugnance and fear of death.

  10. Not much.

  11. I don't.

Close minded is not synonymous with logical.

  12. i believe that god is real but alot of the bible is made up. the bible is more of a manual to how to live the best possible life. if you read the directions you dont s***w very much up. the bible is more figurative than literal

  13. lol i would have never thought of it that way. lol

that makes alot of sense. lol

  14. quoting.. "god created ur mind. HE knows its worth"

GOD is powerful, we have also power to choose between good and evil. we have our mind but some of us not using it WISELY. but GOD is very intelligent, he knows we will have sin so he give as opportunity to repent for our sin. he already atone us but it is not enugh, we must do our part as human and as sons and daughters of heavenly father.

"anddd i do believe i think with my heart and not my mind. but fact is... life wont get u anywhere with just ur heart..hence the making of the mind." >>indeed!

btw, you have a very interesting question. =)

  15. God does treat us as royalty, but not as the napkins, but as the guest.  Only if we accept His sacrifice of Jesus as the only blood offering for our sins.

Many people get confused by what the world, and religion have said about that.  Go back to the one thing missing from your question, that is the Word of God, the Bible.

You have great insight, but without the Word, your words are just that, words.  Read the Old Testament, the only sacrifices worthy were blood sacrifices, written out in great detail by Moses.  Only until the New Testament was then Jesus, the Son of God worthy of being that eternal symbol of our Faith.

Love Jesus, don't much like imposters...hehe

  16. I think that was a brilliant analogy.

However, I don't agree where you say you can't get anywhere in life with just your heart.  What do you consider "anywhere in life?"  Being successful? In the greater scheme of things my success won't count for much if my heart wasn't in it, unless I was doing it with my heart first.  It's that old power of intention thing.  But I guess that's kind of a God answer, so I'm sure I'll get a few thumbs down!  But I love God, so bring 'em on!!!!!!!!

  17. -----

  18. Yeah whatever, go be a preacher then you know-it-all. Man, i'm hungry, i guess i'll eat soup, and instead of using a spoon or fork, i'll use chopsticks, OOOPS I s***w up my life, better clean it with a napkin.

  19. I think you expressed yourself very clearly.   Clean up the text message abbreviations, write using proper grammar......and you got yourself one h*** of a writing piece!

I know exactly what you are saying!  You have expressed yourself and your beliefs in a very creative way.   Great first step to becoming a good writer.

I agree with you.  God give us what we need....but it is up to us as to how we use it.   If we educate ourselves there is a better chance we will use his gifts wisely!

    Take care!

  20. God is a fictional creation by man to explain that which he did not understand. Given time all of the acts purported to God have already or will be duplicated by man.

Are we then Gods because we can do things that are not understood by primitive people?

I for one am not that arrogant but for someone to claim that some God rules over me just because a bunch of ignorant primitives said so is really stupid and extremely vain.
