  3. I do not like it and I'm Indian.

I can't wait to get the h**l out of here.

  4. india is a nice place i like it there ,but there are more insects and animals there

  5. it's a great country

  6. I'm American and I love living in India.  I think it may also depend on where you live.  I live in Kerala and its green a beautiful but humid.  I get a lot of stares because obviously, I don't look like an Indian, but I dress as best I can to fit in.

I eat street food, and drink tea, juice and lime sodas and have never had any stomach problems.  I do avoid ice and tap water (boil all tap water before drinking, or use bottled water).

I love to travel by air or by train (in AC coaches) and hate to travel by bus or non AC trains.  I love auto rickshaws, they are an adventure as they weave in and out of traffic and I love Ambassador cars.  Most people are really friendly and will ask you a lot of questions which may seem personal to you, but is just normal stuff for them.

Try to shop only at stores that have prices on the products, otherwise, shop owners will raise the price knowing you are a tourist.

The women dress so colorfully, its beautiful.  There is extreme poverty and extreme overindulgence.  You will see BMW's sharing the road with buffaloes.

Every state varies in  its own style of dress, food and language.  So its good to visit more than one area if possible.

Many people speak English, especially in cities.

I love India and I tell everybody I know to visit.  I hope you go and have a good time.

  7. India Rocks

  8. on the positive side....india is a fast developing country and has a great potential power. it has vast and rich history and geography and is fast racing towards a better future..

negative.....the most bakward point of the country is its people. as i am too an Indian, i would say we people lack sense of responsibility and just think about ourselves..possibly the generation after independence should have been a little flexible..but as generation gap decreases it is important that the political power comes in the hands of the youth with new thoughts..many people are even ready to kill each other because of anger...and religion and community based discrimination also contribute to the disunity in india.

as i said, i am an Indian too and all the negatives apply to me too...but i wanna say we people are and can be better than the rest...the need is just a cool and modern mind and less anger for others......India will be a superpower and will be immortal in the pages of history..............

  9. its going to be a whole new experience. Its vast, populated, polluted, and most chaotic for the western tourist here to India. But i tell its a whole new experience. U can not complain abt the heat, since we are near the equator, u cant complain the insects coz we have the monsoons, u cant complain abt the food here, coz we cant digest burgers or meat tooooo. So u go to a different land to experience its own colour and taste, if u want it to be suiting to all ur needs then u should stay in ur home sweet home. I am proud to be an indian and the new and vibrant developing india rocks. Just make  sure u select the right places to visit, since we are really vast and every state has its own individuality. Bon voyage.

  10. All my relatives and friends who went there for holiday suffered from stomach upset no matter how careful they were.
