  1. I think Germany is beautiful[never been there, but have seen pictures and plan on going there sometime] their culture is very nice and same with the language it is interesting[i take german in school,so i learn a lot about that]

Germans are also pretty nice, just like americans except maybe a little healthier since they like to ride bikes a lot=] . i have a penpal who lives there and she is very nice. she knows a lot of english since they start teaching kids younger than the us does  on speaking english. as long as you try to speak some german, or say Sprechen Sie englisch? [do you speak english] they will be most likely glad to help=] i am also part german, thats why i like to learn about them, so yeah.

  2. Love them!  My best friends family is originally from Germany.  Great people!

  3. I love the place. used to live there. wish id stayed in Bavaria.

  4. just as the south shall rise again in the united states, so shall germany in europe and asia !

  5. Great country, kind hearted people.

  6. i have to say i am amazed by some of the answers you got, german people are just like everybody else, shure we have "bad"

people there, but please witch race dosen't? we have "history" but so does russia or if you think of it america (native americans)and many others.  get over it, it is history!!! i hope you get to now german people and make up your own mind about them!!!

  7. The Germans are creators of great foods and great structures...

  8. I was stationed in West Germany for many years during the Cold War. I have great memories of my time there and respect your nation and its people very much. I love the "native" German culture.

  9. They're cool...I don't have any problems.  I was in Frankfurt at one point and I didn't have any problems.  So yeah, Germany and Germans are cool.

  10. Germans are very cool people as a whole. They eat well, drink well, and socially get along better with one another. I don´t know any place in America where huge crouds can party outside and no one get into a fight. It´s fun here highly recomended.

  11. I like it there, English is compulsory in school for the past 20 years so there's a lot that speak English and watch CNN, a lot of advertisement is in English and the killing c**p from the war, they can bloody forget soon, the people that lived through the war are old or dead and suffered enough through the bombs etc. Ask the idiot how many civilians, women and children were killed at the air raids, coollink is an ignorant idiot who has no idea what the h**l he is talking about. The war is over for 61 years, Germany has rebuild itself and the younger generation is generally fun loving, warm and love anything American. The food is great, the booze is cheap and the country side lovely, besides they have a long history with amazing architecture and  they are clean.

  12. I lived in Germany for 3 years (1980-1983).  Good food and bread, beautiful country and I loved the castles.  Christmas time was just beautiful.  It's fun to ride the trains and travel the autobahn (no speed limit).  I felt the people were cold and at times rude.  I was in a lovely shop one time and was holding a linen tablecloth I was thinking of buying and the owner took it from me and just stared at me.  He wanted me to leave and the only reason I can think of was that I am an American.  I did leave and thankfully left Germany soon after that.  And what's with the women not shaving their legs or pits, yuck!

  13. They might seem a little cold if you go there expecting them to speak English with you.  Most Germans in their 30s or younger speak and/or understand at least SOME English, but they don't want you to be presunptuous about it.  If you show them the courtesy of learning at least a little German and try to use it, they will warm up to you very quickly.  Also, buying a round for the house is a great way to make friends (beer is cheap, so that can be easy in a smaller bar).  They're a great people who know how to have a good time.

  14. Love the country, love the people!

  15. deutschland deutschland, uber alles

  16. We  just as  good  and  as  bad  as  everybody  else

  17. They have a lovely country, especially in the south, they generally have a good standard of living, but they are sooo morose, always afraid of the future and complaining about the present.

I love the country and the place where I grew up (Saarland, I'm half German), but I prefer to live in Ireland, because the incessant hurrying and "saving time" for no good reason just gets at my nerves.
