  1. 7 minutes good for a fourth grader. YOu might do slower. Good luck

  2. wow i wish i could do that =( sry don't have an answer just wanted to say

  3. less than 8 minutes, usually 6 minutes is good.

  4. Don't worry about the time so much and definely don't train for it.  Football is a power sport.  Though there is a theorectical chance that a player may run 100 yards, mostly it is a bunch of 2-3 yard plays with wide receivers running more.  Most players on the team will not run a mile in a game that is 60 minutes long that is played over 2-3 hours.   Sounds like your coach is a punishing kind and wants to see "how in shape you are" by testing you in the mile.  This would be like giving a math test to a English class.  Too bad he does not want to make you better football players and athletes.

Practice footwork and acceleration drills both linear and multidirectional.  In the weight room, do things to accentuate power movements.  Do *not* try to practice for the mile.  The more you practice distance running, the more your muscles will physically change to do this (look up Type I and Type II muscle fibers if you don't believe me).

Did you hear about the basketball coach that asked his players to join cross country to work on their endurance?   Me either, guess he was fired:)

    Good Luck!

  5. When I was in eighth grade, I remember most of the boys doing the mile in about six minutes. I think it should be about the same if you're in the ninth grade. If you're above average, you should probably be able to do it in less. That's a pretty good score for a fourth-grader, so I would assume you're above average and should have a time of less than six minutes.

  6. Well i these past 5 years, if you have been exercising then i think that you'll get a time around 6 mins, but if you havent been exercising then...its gonna be alot slower then when you were in 4th grade.

  7. probably the same time unless you have been training for it. You might be more in shape and fit  from  foot ball but all the muscle weight you gained will slow you down. Most guy milers weigh like 125 pounds.

  8. If you are still in shape I would say maybe 3:50 if your fast enogh but telling by that time when you were 7 I would say thats thats amazing

  9. Depends.

  10. 4 to 5 maybe

  11. 12:50 i think u got fatter. X]

  12. 6:45 would be you goal

  13. it depends on how much you have been training

  14. You ran a 7 minute mile in 4th grade?!?!

    Holy cow.

I was fat so I probably couldn't even finish a mile. Lmao.

Probably a little bit lower, like 6:50.

  15. Don't be shocked if your time is slower than when you were in fourth grade unless you've been training. No one at Y!A knows anything about you or your training habits or ANYTHING. So one couldn't tell you. Sorry.
