1. As someone who was depressed when manny left the sox. Yes it was a good deal. He didn't wanted to be there anymore. And the player were sick of all the stunts he was pulling. I respect the decision now to trade hime when I found out that Theo had all the vetern player vote whether or not they wanted him to stay. EVERYONE voted for him to go. Will he be miss yes. But need to go!

  2. Yes he did, he could shatter every offensive record in baseball and I still would not have respect for him. Somone who gets paid enough money to feed a third world country should be grateful for the situation they're in and not whine about only making a few 100 million!!

  3. Yes he did and he was asking for it..And im a Yankees fan so his behavoir was disgusting...

He acted and said those things on purpose to get traded

    ************YANKESS****************

  4. His agent told him that he should try to get out of his contract with the Red Sox because other teams would pay him $100 million for four years. The Red Sox had a 2 year option on him worth $20 mill each, so his agent basically told him to play like c**p so that the Red Sox would trade him or not pick up the option. Manny was no longer respected by the Red Sox and most of the fans so he wanted to be traded. I also heard that if Manny wasnt traded by the Trade Deadline that Theo Epstein was leaving at the end of the year.

  5. yeah he did want to be traded and he is playing for joe torrie and he gets players to play thare hardist every game

  6. The curse of Manny comes to Boston.

Manny Rameriez is one of the greatest hitters of all time, and he has the numbers seaons and career to back that up. He looks good in the field. The guy can just flat out play baseball. He does everything right on the field.

Who is better than Mannny? A-Rod? A-Rod aint got no ring!

Boston should have bent over backwards to keep him happy, plus he brought them two world series ( oh I'm sorry 1913 or something like that), something they never had without him. they should have given him the key to the city.

This trade ranks with the selling of Babe Ruth.

Now they have a fresh curse -- The curse of Manny.

It'll be another 80-90 years before boston gets back to the world series and tehn they'll get rid of the guy who gave it to them. why, because they are stupid.

    Bosox = bozosox.

  7. Many is better than Some but not as good as Lots.

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

    School starts soon. Strive.

  8. He has wanted out of Boston for various reasons but always played to win while he was there. He now in a place where he's happy and he's going the same things he's always done.

  9. Yeah. Saying please trade me kinda indicates that you want to go./

  10. Of course he wanted to be traded. He hated living in Boston, the people judged him for every little Manny moments he has, and he said it himself, he couldn't have "peace" there. In Los Angeles, he said he found peace. Because of that, Manny is going to hit many!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... homeruns and RBIs for the Dodgers.

  11. Manny is delutional. Red Sox ownership did not treat him poorly as he claimed. The man was paid $20 million a year and got coddled due to his excentric personality. Throughout the years, Manny would go through bouts where he wanted to be traded...then he would turn around and say he wanted to be with the Sox for the remainder of his career. Just this year alone, he pushed an elderly man in the organization to the ground because he couldn't produce tickets for him on short notice...he also started a fight with Youkilis in the dugout and faked a knee injury so he wouldn't have to play. Its too bad. As a Sox fan I loved watching Manny play and even liked the way he would do quirky things from time to time. Unfortunately, he elevated this behavior to a new level this season and became a distraction. Nobody can doubt his talent, but he is getting older...throw in the personality and I'll take Jason Bay.

  12. he definitley wanted out - now let's just see how long his act gets tolerated in LA. at least he has a few things going for him out there:

    1. best manager available for coaching large egos (Joe Torre)

    2. a city busy enough with non-sports news that his antics won't always make front page news

he's also trying harder b/c he's trying to score a 4-year deal after this year! everyone tries harder in contract years, and selfish manny is obviously no exception!

  13. yes he was tired of the red sox

  14. Haha. My dad is a Dodgers fan. lol.Well if you listen to ESPN he said he respects Joe Torre. And He does try harder. I like him on the Dodgers. haha im not a dogers fan thoa. GO DBACKS!!
