Terrorism is continuing and shall thrive on ths Indian soil as long as we do not have a deterrent action plan to contain if not wipe out the same. our ours is a soft state and can escape with any heneous crime by even an insignificant  miscreant.

It is taking deep roots in India and will continue to do so. Because of human rights agencies and all political parties  eyeing on vote banks, terrorist organisations are not banned when their activities are proved to be anti national and unpatriotic. Our Government's hands are tight because they are afraid, if they declare such a group/org as anti-national, the Govt and party will be voted out of power after their present term. This is going on and on and on and terrorism by such group will persist.

Terrorism is not confined to our country alone. In an independent state, ruled by politicians(for personal gains), where citizens are dumb and stupid, literacy and common sense at the lowest ebb & a very weak economy-  The Terrorism breeding ground.

aah terrorism...terrible,dreadening threat n reality f india..the worst thing is bout terrorist themselves..like some best minds being put to destruction.they r mislead n thats y they misunderstand a beautiful religion called islam.n attempt to destroy one f their most hated enemy-india n its hindus.not just jehadis its even naxalites tryinna hav their say in d most voilent n unacceptable manner..u know i just think f innocent ppl being killed..their body scattered in blasts n my soul shivers..but v cant resist them coz they'll persist.

All the nations acknowledge that India is the country which has suffered the most in the hands of terrorists in the world. The Medieval History of India is also replete with instances of India being targeted with terrorism of the worst kind. The invaders from the west perpetrated the worst kind of atrocities on the people. The history of Nadir Shah war and other inhuman attacks had in fact pulverised the mass psyche to a degree that the people are yet to come to terms with any decent level of relations with them. The incidents post Independence and the current attacks are just the relics of the old history. People have not really been taken by surprise by these instances of terrorist attacks. Whereas such audacious acts of terrorism shakes the conscience of the people else where and their governments take immediate steps to stem further attacks, here the government also act lethargically and the people have also stopped expecting any thing from them. The fatalism of the Hindus allow things to go as if these things are their karma and normal. Perhaps, the attackers will stop these activities on their own, being tired of it and having seen that it is not yielding any desirable effects in terms of inflicting any injury on the psyche  and morale of the people.

The problem of terrorism is pretty serious with all the recent serial blasts in different parts of the nation. The precision with which the blasts were carried out disturbs me. Also in a few days time 20 bombs were diffused by Gujarat Police which is good but the bombs shouldn't have reached there in the first place is the main thing.

I live in Pune and so far there has been no terrorist activities in Pune.

I think Police are doing what they can but absence of a powerful national agency is the biggest hurdle. Today security is a matter of individual states and center cannot interfere in it unless asked by the state to help. State agencies lack the nationwide network and have problems with jurisdictions. They also have less resources than compared to national agencies.

CBI is a big organisation and so is IB but CBI cannot investigate into any matters unless asked by the state and politicians are usually reluctant to involve CBI. So by the time CBI or any central agency is called in for investigation it is too late.

To successfully combat terrorism politicians should seriously consider a paramilitary investigative agency like CBI+IB+CRPF together with more powers and dedicated courts.

These are views also backed by Times of India and now Prime Minister himself.

According to me they should combine all state intelligence departments, IB and CBI and give them large powers to investigate and carry out operations.
