  1. Hey I was going to say what CMP just said! Thanks CMP! Yeah I have a pair of skates that I want to sell. Email me @ heidimighty3@yahoo.com!

  2. Those are okay for recreational skating.  If you want to get into lessons or any spinning or jumping, I wouldn't bother with those.  If you're content doing laps around the rink, those are fine.  If you intend on advancing your skating skills, I'd check out a pair of Riedells (riedellskates.com), probably something from their ribbon series.  They're better skates, better blades and have more ankle support than anything you'd find at d**k's Sporting Goods.  A recreational skate will not last as long as a better quality skate, which might cost more, but is made of better materials.  :)

  3. I wouldn't trust that brand and when I was younger I bought skates from ***** sporting goods and when I skated with them for the first time the blades went sharp at all and I couldn't stop or even move forward and I was stuck to the ice. So id say save up a little more money and get yourself a pair of skates that are going to last you. And riedell is a good brand and I have riedell skates and love them. And not all of their skates are cheap but there also not that expensive for how long they last

    Good Luck!!

  4. honey, if you are planning on competing or skating seriously good skates cost over 100$(+ possibly blades) ..unless you are taking about just skating for fun.

  5. They are not good skates but if you never plan on doing anything other than recreational in those skates then they will be good.

I would look into buying a used pair of skates. You can get a good pair half the price and they are already broken it.

Heidi: http://answers.yahoo.com/my/profile;_ylt... is selling a $50 pair of skates for $25 that are a size six. maybe you should contact her

  6. Well.. once you get good skates will cost a 1500, so 25 dollars wow! Those are really bad skates from online! Not a good idea! Never get skates with black bottoms, they should be wood, NEVER GET EM OF LINE!

  7. American athlete are not a good purchase, in the long run, you may as well purchase a $100 pair of skates, because you will end up buying 5 pairs of these in two years.

Riedell yellow ribbon are cheap, and a good brand, plus they look nice.

Riedell know how to make boots for olympic skaters, so they get their boots right.

And to the person above me, there is nothing wrong with skates that have black bottoms, most ice dance boots have black bottoms, and they could cost over $1000. Jayne Torvils have black soles.

Also, they dont have to be wood, my risports have plastic and are great quality.
