but seriously monopoloy has always been my fav. long or not i love it. risk is fun too at times. have to have the right kind of people playing.

Well they're always making new ones--but i love Monopoly =D yes it goes forever but i also love the DVD board games like HARRY POTTER and CLUEDO .x

Apples to Apples....it can be played with four or 40 people of all ages and its always funny and fun!

My fav is monopoly, because it can be copetetive or just fun, also good w/ many players.

Chess is good for people who like to think things over, but can also be fun.

I really like Candy Land. Its a colorful game that attracts young kids to play. Its fun too, even though Im a little old to be playing. I always enjoyed it when I was a kid and went through about 5 different boards because of soda spills on. Ahh good times!

In terms of sales figures, I think Monopoly is still the best selling board game.

As for oldest or longest running, I think it would have to be Chess, or Go, maybe Mancala.

As for personal preference, I like Talisman, Settlers of Catan, Clue, Stop Thief, Dark Tower, and most games put out by Worlds of Wonder and Ravensburger. I also like many of the old Avalon Hill "bookcase" games, such as Kingmaker, and it's like...
