Hmmm. That's tough.  I've been to London many times.  I love to walk around the city's parks. My favorite destinations include the V&A and the Tate Modern.  The London Eye is Amazing!

I found all of England fascinating, very clean (except for some areas of London) and extremely interesting.  So much history, I leaned against an old stone wall in Cambridge and read a little plaque which stated this certain wall was erected around 1452 or some such.  Now that's history.  But to answer your question:  Portsmouth.  Being a retired sailor from the U.S. Navy and a big fan of books by Forester, Stockwin and Alexander Kent I was enthralled.  The Docks, ships, HMS VICTORY, the MARY ROSE all wonderful places to see and absorb the wonderful history.  Portsmouth is by far my favorite with Cornwall a close second.  Love England.
